President William Ruto has said the United States National Basketball Association (NBA) is set to construct basketball courts in schools.
The President said that the NBA will construct 100 basketball courts in schools and communities across the country.
Ruto said the construction of the courts will take place in the next decade to grow the sport.
The president said the NBA is also establishing its commercial hub in Nairobi, which is a major boost for investment in the country.
He spoke when he met NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum at State House Nairobi.
The president was accompanied by five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher and the US Ambassador to Kenya.
