At least seven in every 10 Kenyans (73 per cent) believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, a new survey by InfoTrak has revealed.
This is an increase from 50 per cent of Kenyans who believed the same in September.
According to the survey, only 11 per cent of Kenyans believe the country is headed in the right direction, a drop from 19 per cent who believed the same in September.
“Nairobi is the least optimistic on the direction the country is headed,” Johvine Wanyingo, a Researcher with InfoTrak said.
Those who believe the country is on the wrong track attributed it to bad governance, the cost of living, and corruption among other issues.
The survey was conducted on October 9, 2024.
1,000 Kenyans were interviewed, from across the 47 counties.
