The Public Service Commission has released interview dates for the shortlisted candidates for the positions of chairperson and member of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA).
The selection panel shortlisted eight candidates for the position of chairperson and 37 candidates for the position of member.
According to an announcement on Friday’s dailies, the interviews for chairperson will be held on October 22 and October 23, 2024.
The shortlisted candidates include Thomas Letangule, Annah Konuche, Patrick Blasius Owiny and Mercy Wambui Kamau, who will be interviewed on the first day from 10am to 2pm.
On the second day from 9am to noon, the selection panel will interview Wayong’o Cyril Simiyu, Juliet Wanjiku Muremi, Richard Barno and Ahmed Issack Hassan.
Interviews for the position of a member have been slated for October 24 to October 30, 2024. They will take place between 9am and 5pm.
On the first day, the interviewees will include Anab Mohamed Gure, Micah Onyiego Nyakego, Laxmana Peter Kiptoo, Jackline Lukalo Mwenesi, Mohamed Abdi Haji Mohamed, Francis Meja and George Omondi Afulo.
Interviewees for October 25, are Symon Kaitikei Rotiken, Faith Muthoni Gichovi, Mary Lucy Mongony, Teresia Jerusah Michael, Fred Opiyo Jonyo, Elizabeth Atieno Ayoo and Abdirahman Adan Abdikadir.
On day three, the panel will hear from Mark Lomunokol, Alex Cleland Atingo, Paul Mugambi Mwenda (PWD), Florence Wairimu Muturi, Ann Wanjiku Mwangi, Collins Wanderi Munyiri, Annette Mbogoh and Joseph Njonjo Nkamasiai.
The interviewees for day four are Mary Yiane Seneta, Rukia Ahmed Sheikh (PWD), Zachary Kamau Mwangi, Stephen Mwachofi Singo, Beverly C Moss, KenWilliams Nyakomitah, Susan J Wendot and John Muchiri Nyaga.
On the final day, October 30, the interviewees will be Mohammed Hussein Gabbow, Boniface Kipkemoi Samati, Diana Mutunga Watila, Sylvia Cherotich Chelogoi, Richard Mativu Musau (PWD), Moses N Mbaruku and Wilfred A Nyagwanga.
The selection panel directed that each candidate should be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the starting time.
The shortlisted candidates are to carry original documents of their national identity card, academic and professional certificates and transcripts and, any other supporting documents and testimonials.
They are also to carry valid and current clearances from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Loans Education Board (HELB), any of the registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Further, they should present a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for any degree obtained from foreign universities, and a recommendation letter or certificate of good standing from the relevant professional bodies (where applicable).
The Authority has invited the public to participate in the selection exercise by providing any credible information of interest relating to the suitability of any of the shortlisted candidates, through an affidavit to the chairman via email [email protected].
They can also send through the Office of the Secretary/CEO, Public Service Commission situated on the 4th floor Commission House, off Harambe Avenue, Nairobi on or before October 16, 2024.
