ODM party will field candidates in all positions in the next generation elections, National Party Chairperson Gladys Wanga has said.

Wanga noted that they are not in government and that people should not bring confusion about the party stand, saying they are moving forward as a party.

She said they will continue to build the party and unite as they move forward.

"Our part will sweep seats starting from MCAs, MPs, Senators, and Governors, and we are not going to leave any seats, including the presidency of this country," she added.

"This is our home and this is what we will build, we are not confused at all, ODM stands alone as a party, a movement for the people and we will speak for the people and stand with them, move under the guidance of Raila Odinga having left for us now the acting leader Anyang Nyong’o."

Wanga assured that they will continue supporting Nyong’o in his position expressing confidence in his leadership roles.

"You know where this movement has come from, the challenges we have gone through and our ideologies inside out, and we are not afraid to say that in your hands the party will grow to greater heights," she said.

The acting party leader on the other hand noted that ODM was destined to rule this country.

Nyong’o stressed the importance of unity, asserting that the party would remain steadfast as long as its members stood together.

"We shall not deviate if the people of Kenya keep having their hope in us. We will sacrifice to ensure Kenyans get what they deserve because our leaders are true to the course," he said.

He called upon the ODM leaders who have always been an example of dedication and commitment that they continue to do so.

"This party has no space or room for selfishness, we are all comrades and equal as those serving the people while God has given us time to do so," he said.

Addressing the future, Nyong’o expressed optimism about the new generation of leaders emerging within ODM.

"We were the first generation of the second liberation, but I see fresh faces ready to lead," he noted.

He urged all members to work together, confident that their unity would honour the legacy of their party leaders and inspire hope in the Kenyan populace.

"Let us not be afraid. Together, we are destined to rule this country," he affirmed, affirming the spirit of resilience and collective purpose that defines ODM.

He further expressed confidence that the people will work together not to disappoint party leader Raila Odinga underscoring the party's enduring commitment to the second liberation, despite facing significant challenges such as state harassment and the detention of its leaders.

"This party has always gone through difficult times and I remember the days when the party leader was recalling all these during the Coast delegates conference and he wept," he said.

"The end of the second liberation is not yet seen, the second liberation is still a journey and some of the things they had stood for all these years are in the Constitution but the Constitution is just a framework and so they have a responsibility to continue and ensure that when the party leader is a way they do not deviate."
