Deceased Content Creator and Influencer Tabitha Gatwiri

Deceased content creator Tabitha Gatwiri was a well-known actress, and she even made appearances in the once-popular television comedy series The Real House Helps of Kawangware.

Gatwiri was born and raised in Isiolo County as the firstborn in a family of five siblings, which included three girls and two boys.

She began her education at Kithoka Primary School in Meru County. She later joined Bishop Lawi Imathiu Secondary School after her KCPE exams.

The late actress later enrolled at Kenyatta University.

In her previous interviews, Gatwiri revealed that she was passionate about the film industry but her father did not approve of her choice since he was worried about the risk of unemployment in the film industry. He wanted her to pursue a career in teaching, believing it had better job prospects.

While in school, she discovered her passion for entertainment. Her journey began when she realised her Meru accent made her friends laugh. She later joined the Kenyatta University Travelling Theatre and took part in many shows.

Her first skit that went viral was where she was talking about her university boyfriend and his romantic language.

Gatwiri would later drop out of university to focus fully on content creation.

She often collaborated with a number of content creators and actresses, such as Siphira, Alex Mathenge, Diana Daisy, and many more. This led to her growing a large fanbase of followers across all social media platforms and helped grow her influence further.

Gatwiri was awarded the Prestigious YouTube Award, dubbed Silver Button or Plaque in 2021.

She was also involved in Search Engine Optimisation and ran an AirBnB business.

She was private about her love life, although she mentioned having dated a celebrity before, and the relationship did not end well for her.

Gatwiri died at the age of 29. Her family and friends said she passed on after a short illness. Her body was discovered in her house.

Police are investigating the cause of the death even though she had complained of illness.

Gatwiri's body was moved to the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.

Content creators and influencers have mourned the young creator, expressing their shock at her demise.

Kenyans and her fans took to social media to mourn the late with many describing her as a person with a lively personality.
