Deputy President designate Kithure Kindiki has arrived at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) for his swearing in.
Before his arrival, Kindiki passed by his former office Harambee House where he was received by senior officials of the Interior Ministry.
He was accompanied by his wife.
They then walked together to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
He was picked to be Deputy President by President William Ruto following the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua.
He will become the country’s third Deputy President.
Kenyans flooded the KICC to witness the swearing in of Kindiki as the second-in-command.
The security has been beefed up at the grounds.
Several leaders including Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, Senators and Members of Parliament among others are present.
