Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo on Monday distributed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams at Alliance Girls High School.
The CS had earlier participated in the opening of the examination container at the Deputy County Commissioner’s office in Kikuyu.
He acknowledged that the security situation during the exam period has been satisfactory so far, with no serious incidents reported.
Speaking following the exercise, PS Omollo said the security agencies have provided a conducive environment for all students to succeed.
He acknowledged the effort that education stakeholders, noting that the government is proud of the teachers, parents and students.
“I want to sincerely thank you on behalf of my colleague PS for Education Belio Kipsang together with Education CS Julius Migos. We appreciate the work you continue to do,” he said.
He noted that there have not been any security breaches so far, expressing hope that the exam period will be safe from irregularities.
Omollo stated that President William Ruto is dedicated to honouring his word when it comes to the education sector.
He stated that the government has invested a lot in education, having the highest budget allocation.

Over 900,000 students are sitting for the exams across the county.
On Monday, the candidates will write the English Functional Skills paper during the morning hours, while Chemistry Paper 1 will be administered in the afternoon.
Mathematics Paper 1 will be done on Tuesday morning, and later on in the afternoon, the candidates will write the English comprehension paper.
According to the KNEC 2024 KCSE examination timetable, the last day of the national exams will be November 22, when the candidates will sit the Physics practical.
