The American State of Pennsylvania is currently the talk on X, with people across the world waiting to see which party clinches it in the US presidential elections.

The US Elections happened on Tuesday and vote counting is currently ongoing.

The swing state of Pennsylvania, which has 19 electrol college votes,  is currently too close to call for the candidates.

Pennsylvania is viewed as important in determining the overall result of a presidential election.

Pennsylvania remains too close to call as Trump leads in where the first assassination attempt occurred, and Harris closing in on some swing counties, with Latino voters becoming a crucial group in results,” NBC reported.

Vice President Kamala Harris (Democrat) and former President Donald Trump (Republican) need at least 270 electoral votes to win.

Several users in X have posted memes and gifs, on how the state is switching between blue and red.

Most of those talking about the state appear to be Democrats as they are hoping it turns blue.

Taking to X, users had the following to say:

Me ignoring Pennsylvania so it turns blue (Democrats) faster,” a user said.

“Pennsylvania if u can hear me please go blue I beg,” a user posted alongside a praying emoji.

"Everyone get up trump is decreasing in Pennsylvania! Black populated areas are still counting votes !" another said.

So far, Republicans have struck an early victory in the race to control Congress, with a formerly Democratic-aligned seat in West Virginia won by the state's current governor, Jim Justice.

BBC noted that in addition to the presidency, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 34 seats in the Senate are up for grabs on Election Day.

Republicans currently hold a majority in the House.

BBC said the projected win by Justice takes the Senate to a 50-50 split. Results in other seats are pending, however.

The party that wins a majority on either side of Capitol Hill will have greater leverage to enact its own agenda, regardless of who is in the White House.
