Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has said that Kenya can only achieve its collective aspirations and goals if the people are united.

Speaking on Sunday, Kindiki insisted that remaining united is the single most important thing the country can do for itself.

“There's nothing as important as the unity of Kenya. We can have everything but without unity we have no chance to realise the objectives, dreams and vision of our country,” he said.

He had attended a thanksgiving service at Jesus Palace of Praise Church, Mwatate, Taita Taveta County.

The Deputy President noted that the different languages people of Kenya speak are only meant to help them appreciate the diversity of the country.

He added that it is not intended to cause division or hatred towards one another.

Kindiki said that every person born, raised and who lives in Kenya has a right to be respected and to receive services from the government.

“This country will not realise our national goals, aspirations, dreams unless we remain united. We are one nation, one people. The difference languages we speak are supposed to help us appreciate our diversity not to bring hatred and division in our midst.

“Every Kenyan has a right to respected, get service and have a sense of belonging in Kenya. We are one nation, one people led by President William Ruto and God,” he said.

The DP further noted that he economic situation in country has now stabilised and in the remaining three years of President William Ruto’s term will be dedicated to turning around the lives of Kenyans.

“The macroeconomic situation in our Country is better than it was in 2022. Inflation is now at 2.7%, the lowest in 17 years.

“We will work hard for the remainder of President William Ruto's term to bring a change and transform our country,” Kindiki said.

He was accompanied by MPs Lydia Haika (Woman Representative, Taita Taveta County), Peter Shake (Mwatate), John Bwire (Taveta), Danson Mwashako (Wundanyi), Carolyne Ng'elechei (Woman Representative, Elgeyo Marakwet County), John Kiarie 'KJ' (Dagoretti South), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East) and Geoffrey Ruku (Mbeere North), MCAs and other County leaders were present.
