Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) CEO Twalib Mbarak has sent a message of condolences to the Commission’s chairperson Bishop David Oginde for losing his mother.
Mama Joyce Oginde had been unwell and passed on the Wednesday night.
“I wish to convey my personal heartfelt condolences and that of the EACC fraternity for the untimely death of Joyce Oginde, beloved mother to the Chairperson,” he said.
Mbarak noted that the Commission recognises the pain of a person in losing a loved one, saying they will continue praying for the family.
“We will continue to pray for the family because it is only through God, the pain that comes along with death can be overcome,” Mbarak said.
‘We stand with the Chairperson, and his family and may the Almighty grant him the strength to overcome this grief”.
Oginde was appointed as the Chairman of the EACC in 2021.
Prior to that, he had a distinguished career in both church and public service.
As the Commission’s chairman, he has played a pivotal role in driving reforms, ensuring the Commission's operations are aligned with its mission to promote ethical standards and integrity in Kenya.
His leadership has focused on tackling corruption at all levels of society, especially in public institutions.
