Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has now said he has a big revolution which he will announce in January 2025.

Speaking at a church service on Sunday, Gachagua said he has had consultations with different leaders on the issue and he will let Kenyans in on it come next year.

“Naendelea kuongea na watu. Viongozi wetu wa kanisa, wafanya biashara wetu, professionals wetu na viongozi ambao wanapenda watu wetu tunaongea. January hii nitamueleza vile tumesikizana,” he said.

This is loosely translated to, “I am having talking with our religious leaders, our businessmen, our professionals and leaders who love us. Come January I will reveal to you what we have been talking about”.

His remarks come a week after Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka confirmed they were having talks with the ousted DP describing it as a move to “build a strong coalition”.

“We will talk to everyone going forward to build a strong coalition. What I can say is that there will come a time when we will ask everyone to validate their membership in Azimio and expand,” he said.

Kalonzo and Eugene Wamalwa’s DAP-Kenya have hinted at decamping the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition and forming a political deal with Gachagua.

The leaders indicate that a new outfit could be in place as soon as early next year.

Kalonzo allies told the Star that the team is burning the midnight oil to make the new vehicle ready by the end of the year.

Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo – a close confidant of Kalonzo – told the Star that the new political vehicle would be in place by next month.

He said the yet-to-be-unveiled coalition will have who-is-who in the country’s political landscape on board.

“We are working on the new coalition and looking for new partners, the coalition should be in place by Christmas. We are first making sure we have as many like-minded parties as possible,” Maanzo said.

“We are working together with the community (Mt. Kenya). It is one of the regions we are going to work with.”
