Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will be in court today as judges commence the hearing of a case against the Adani Group’s proposed takeover of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
Kalonzo through his Wiper party communication team said he will be representing the people in the case.
Chief Justice Martha Koome last month appointed judges Jairus Ngaah, Moses Ado and Lucy Nguguna to hear the petitions against the Adani deals.
The bench is today expected to start hearing the case.
This comes despite President William Ruto announcing last week in his state of the nation address that the government has cancelled all deals involving the Indian conglomerate after it was indicted in the US over bribery allegations.
Elsewhere at the magistrate court, a judgment will today be delivered in a case where former Harambee Sacco head of finance Jacob Wanjala Barasa was accused of stealing Sh13645220 from the society.
Wanjala was accused of committing the offence on diverse dates between December 1 2017 and February 7, 2018.
He denied the charges and was granted bond pending the hearing and determination of the matter.
Today, Principal Magistrate Rose Ndombi is expected to deliver her judgment in the case.
