The year 2024 has been quite an eventful one especially for government leaders.
For President William Ruto it has been the year that Kenyans expected the most from him in terms of delivering on his promises to the people of Kenya.
Because of this he also upscaled efforts to strengthen bilateral relations as he sought to bring investments and business into the country.
Some of these meetings were held in Kenya while others were held at the international forums where leaders from all over the world met.
The meetings held locally most concentrated on bilateral relations, security, investment and creation of employment for the Kenyan youths.
In this article, our focus will be on the meeting the Head of State held locally and the leaders who visited him at State House, Nairobi or on the sidelines of international events held in Kenya.
The most recent meeting was with Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China.
Welcomed Chinese investment in critical sectors, including renewable energy, agriculture, and digital infrastructure to boost our transformation agenda.
Ruto would later on meet the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.
The other meeting was with the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu.
The President had earlier on met JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, State House Nairobi. Dimon had visited Kenya as part of an African tour.
Ruto met Pan-African Parliament President Zephaniah Charumbira who was accompanied by other officials of the parliament.
