"Experienced teargas for the first time in my life, but the show must go on! #RAHAFest - Hapa Amani Tu," he shared.

Alikiba was forced to cut short his performance when the teargas was deployed, but he later returned to the stage, earning praise from fans for his resilience and for making the show worthwhile despite the chaos.

In a follow-up tweet, Alikiba thanked the partygoers and expressed his excitement for future performances.

"Nairobi, thank you for making 2025 so special. #RahaFest was awesome!! Thank you all for singing and dancing from start to finish. Until next time, asanteni sana. Next time, I’ll be ready for teargas," he said.

Alikiba was not the only artist to comment on the incident caused by chaos during the event.

Jamaican dancehall artist Shenseea voiced her frustration with her Kenyan fans.

"Now Kenya, I’m a lil mad at y’all ngl," she said.

The "Hit and Run" hitmaker managed to perform only two songs before the situation became untenable, leaving fans disappointed.

The show took a turn when an unruly crowd breached the venue without tickets, leading to the deployment of tear gas by security personnel in an attempt to control the situation.

Fans were left stranded and disappointed after Shenseea was whisked away - many trying to understand what had just happened.
