The construction of an underground tunnel from Green Park Terminus across the Uhuru Highway to Haile Selassie is currently ongoing and is at an advanced stage.

The underpass is projected to aid the movement of commuters and to ease congestion on Uhuru Highway.
The underpass that will have elevators fitted in for persons living with disabilities to ease both traffic and pedestrian movement upon completion in March this year.
