State announces 38 job opportunities in various institutions

The Public Service Commission (PSC) announced four job vacancies in public universities.

The government agencies have announced 38 job opportunities in various departments.

In notices published via Tuesday’s issue of My Gov, the institutions advertised the different job vacancies that are up for grabs.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) announced four job vacancies in public universities.

At the University of Nairobi, the Commission is seeking to employ a Vice-Chancellor and a Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs).

The Commission is also looking for a Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance) for Kenyatta University and a Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Finance, Planning and Development) for Tharaka University.

PSC said the details of the posts and mode of application can be accessed on the Commission’s website: www.publicservice.go.ke.

Applications should reach the Commission on or before February 11, 2025 latest 5pm.

The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) is seeking to recruit highly competent, proactive and self-driven individuals to fill the vacancy of the Director of Corporate Services.

MSEA said the successful candidate will be required to provide Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Clearance, Kenya Revenue Authority Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board Clearance Certificate (HELB), certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and certificate from Credit Reference Bureau.

The detailed job description can be accessed from the Authority’s website at www.msea.go.ke.

MSEA said all applications should be sent through the post office or hand delivered to the Chief Executive Officer no later than February 10, 2025.

The address for submission is The Chief Executive Officer, Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA), Utalii House 10th Floor, Left Wing P.O. Box 48823 – 00100 Nairobi.

On the other hand, the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) is seeking to employ a CEO.

Interested applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution, have 18 years cumulative experience in a relevant field in the Private or Public Sector- eight of which must have been in a Senior Management position.

The applicant should meet the requirements of leadership and integrity as prescribed in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and demonstrate commitment to national values espoused in Article 10.

NCIC said applications should be received on or before February 4, 2025, by 5pm.

The National Mining Corporation (NAMICO) has advertised five job opportunities including Corporation Secretary/Manager Legal Services, Manager Mineral Exploration, Manager Investment Analysis, Manager Finance and Accounts, Manager, and Human Resource Management and Administration.

NAMICO said interested and suitably qualified candidates are required to make their applications online through the NAMICO career portal: https://recruitment.namico.go.ke.

The application letters should include a signed application/cover letter, detailed curriculum vitae indicating: current and previous employers, position held, level of education, current and expected salary, notice period to take up the appointment and names of three professional referees, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, and a copy of National identity card or Valid Passport.

The documents should be addressed to: The Chief Executive Officer, National Mining Corporation, KWFT Centre, 4th Floor, Kiambere – Masaba Road, Po Box 115 – 00100 Nairobi, Kenya.

Applications should reach the Corporation not later than 5pm, February 11, 2025.

The Kenya Wildlife Services is seeking to employ a Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management, a Senior Assistant Director of Corporate Communication and two Principal Aircraft Pilot (Helicopter).

The Kenya Institute of Supplies Management is looking to employ a Registrar (Director, Registration and Licensing) for a five-year contract.

Qualified and interested candidates are invited to read detailed job profile on the corporate’s website www.kism.or.ke.

They can also apply online indicating the job title and the reference number, addressing their application letter to: Chairman of the Council, Kenya Institute of Supplies Management, KISM Tower 11th Floor, Ngong Road PO Box 30400-00100, Nairobi.

Candidates must attach PDF copies of their CVs with full details of their educational background, professional qualifications, work experience and copies of Academic and Professional certificates.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has announced 12 job vacancies.

They include Aircraft Registration and Administration, Head of Department, Aviation Safety and Security, Chief MET Inspector, Chief Inspector – Approved Training Organization, Dean of Students - EASA and, AMEL Examinations Administrator.

Senior Administration Officer, Senior Stores Officer, Senior Lecturer - Aeronautical Engineering, Senior Lecturer - Flight Safety, Lecturer I - Aeronautical Engineering and Lecturer I - Airline/Airport Operation.

The applications should be received not later than February 10, 2025.

Details of the job specifications can be obtained from the KCAA website at www.kcaa.or.ke.

Female candidates and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are encouraged to apply.

KCAA said persons with disabilities are required to attach a copy of a valid NCPWD membership card and send the same to; The Director General, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Aviation House – JKIA, PO Box 30163 – 00100 Nairobi.

The Commission for University Education (CUE) is seeking to fill vacancies including that of Senior Assistant Commission Secretary, Quality Assurance, Senior Assistant Commission Secretary, Programme Accreditation, Deputy Director, Library Services, and Senior Accreditation Officer (Programme Accreditation).

Senior Accreditation Officer (Institution[1]-al Accreditation), Senior ICT Officer, Corporate Communications Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Assistant Supply Chain Management Officer and a driver.

Interested and qualified candidates are requested to make their applications online through the Careers portal available on the CUE website.

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to bring the original certificates for verification during the interview.

All applications should reach the Commission on or before February 3, 2025 at 5pm.
