The Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin has challenged the police to prioritise essential issues that are vital for maintaining security and safeguarding lives and property across the country.
Speaking in Kwale on Thursday, Amin emphasised the importance of delivering exemplary services to citizens as a means to enhance the overall service delivery within the National Police Service.
The DCI boss was addressing senior officers from various regional commands and units of the Administration Police Service (APS).
He was speaking during a week-long conference, held under the theme, 'Transforming the police to meet service delivery expectations'.
Amin said the DCI boasts of a team of experts who are ready to provide their services to streamline the workflow of various services.
Amin elaborated on the DCI's role in advancing professional criminal investigations to combat crime, create safer communities for citizens, and ensure justice for all.
The conference sets the stage for the launch of the APS roadmap to service selivery revitalization strategy.
The strategy, according to DCI, is designed to address the evolving needs of communities, foster public trust, and enhance the effectiveness of policing.
In addition, the conference focuses on several critical aspects of policing.
The key areas of focus include new operational and managerial concepts, and emerging security and leadership trends.
They also plan to evaluate performance and review the service delivery strategies, among other objectives.
The event was also graced by Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat and the Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service Gilbert Masengeli.
The former Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service Kinuthia Mbugua was also present.
