Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has vowed to work with Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua.
Gachagua said as leaders they would benefit from Karua's extensive experience in politics.
Speaking on Saturday when he met Karua at her home in Kirinyaga, the former DP said that he will regularly consult Karua going forward.
“We have had a good conversation with Karua and we have agreed going forward we are going to work together with other Kenyans. I want to assure you that many Kenyans are looking for leadership. We will work together with like-minded Kenyans, patriots and people who care for this country,” Gachagua said.
The former DP expressed joy saying he will be a happy man for uniting with the Narc Kenya Party leader.
Gachagua said that Karua has the necessary experience, and courage and will help the Mt Kenya region move forward.
“We shall benefit a lot from her counsel, we will consult her regularly alongside other Kenyans of goodwill so that we liberate this country," he added.
The ex-DP arrived at Karua's rural home on Saturday mid-morning accompanied by his wife Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
Karua expressed confidence in the combination of the efforts of the two leaders saying it will be a great force.
Karua said that every person of goodwill should join hands in demanding accountability.
"Today is a great day. we have joined hands with my brother Gachagua, and a journey of uniting and liberating Kenya has begun. We are going to join with people from different regions and areas in the country," Karua said.
This is the first major political meeting Gachagua is holding with Karua since he was impeached as the country's second in command.
Karua was Gachagua's key critic ahead of the 2022 general elections having been former prime minister Raila Odinga's running mate.
The meeting also comes at a time when Karua's Narc Kenya is aggressively rebranding after ditching the Azimio coalition.
