A trader from Kangemi has been arraigned at Dagoretti Court over allegations of offensive conduct directed at her cousin during a heated altercation.
The accused, Ruth Wangeci, faced charges before Presiding Magistrate A.O. Casmir, who heard that the incident occurred on Christmas Day in Kangemi, Nairobi.
According to the prosecution, Wangeci allegedly hurled unprintable insults at her cousin, Rose Wanja, during a confrontation.
The court was further informed that Wangeci accused Wanja of engaging in unethical practices, including offering her child and grandmother to attract wealth—a claim that escalated the dispute.
Wangeci pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh50,000. Magistrate Casmir, acknowledging the familial relationship between the two parties, urged them to consider resolving the matter out of court to preserve family harmony.
