President William Ruto on Friday inspected the 257 km Lamu-Ijara-Garissa road (LAPSSET corridor).

This was during his tour of the North Eastern region.

"We will open up all corners of our country with high-quality infrastructure projects to facilitate trade and regional connectivity, drive economic growth, enhance mobility, and improve access to essential services," Ruto said.

He was accompanied by different leaders among them Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.
