Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Friday announced the appointment of Harold Ndege as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The appointment follows his approval by the FKF National Executive Committee (NEC) on the same day.

Ndege replaces Patrick Korir, who resigned earlier in February after serving in an acting capacity since October 2024.

A former Tusker FC defender, Ndege brings a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors, having spent over 13 years in various managerial roles.

He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the East Africa Pamoja AFCON 2027 and CHAN 2025 Finance Committee.

FKF President Hussein Mohammed welcomed Ndege's appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership:

"Harold Ndege has his work cut out for him, and we are pleased to have finalised this process. His experience in both football administration and management will be crucial in steering FKF forward. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Patrick Korir for his professionalism and dedication during this transition period. To ensure a smooth handover, Korir will continue guiding the incoming CEO in the coming weeks,” Mohammed said in a press statement.

As CEO, Ndege will be responsible for overseeing FKF's daily operations, with a key focus on improving governance, financial management, and operational efficiency within the federation.

The Football Kenya Federation fraternity extended its best wishes to Ndege in his new role and assured to it will remain committed to fostering a transparent, professional, and progressive football environment in Kenya.

FKF is the governing body that runs and manages football in Kenya. It was founded as Kenya Football Federation (KFF) in 1960; affiliated to FIFA in 1960; affiliated to the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) in 1961 and affiliated to CECAFA in 1973.

Other than regulating the game, the FKF aims to promote and develop the game all through the country.

Mohammed, Deputy President, McDonald Mariga, and National Executive Committee members (NEC) derived from eight regions lead the federation.
