

President William Ruto will on Wednesday officiate the signing of contracts between private contractors, the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) and the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC).
The event will mark a milestone for the Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project for the Underserved Counties (KOSAP).
It will take place at the Stima Members Club, Nairobi from 8 am – 11 am.
In attendance will be Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi, World Bank Country Director for Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia and Uganda Qimiao Fan, and PS for Energy Alex Wachira.
Wetang’ula to visit family of late Malava MP Malulu Injendi
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and House Clerk Samuel Njoroge will visit the home of the late Malava MP Malulu Injendi, to offer condolences.
Injendi’s home is at Belleview Estate, South C in Nairobi.
The Speaker will be joined by PSC Commissioners and Members
of Parliament across the political divide.
MP Malulu died on Monday while undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
JFP to avail Paul Kigame as deputy party leader
The Justice and Freedom Party of Kenya (JFP) will hold a press conference to unveil Reuben Kigame as Deputy Party Leader.
They will also address National Unity for Citizens at the ACK Guest House, opposite former NSSF Building (Now SHA) from 10 am.
EPRA, African Development Bank to hold validation workshop for Electricity Regulatory Index
The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) in partnership with Africa Development Bank (AfDB) will hold a validation workshop for the Electricity Regulatory Index (ERI) at Mercure Hotel, Upper Hill at 9 am.
ERI is a report that assesses the performance of regulators across Africa and explores practical, sustainable solutions for Africa's access to electricity.
During the workshop, regulators from across the continent will discuss the current status, challenges and trends in the electricity sector and how to improve access and affordability, especially in rural and underserved areas.
The key speakers in attendance will be EPRA Director General Daniel Kiptoo and AfDB Directo General Kennedy Mbekeani.
