President William Ruto has donated Sh5 million to 161 Kiambu
traders who lost their business after a fire razed their stalls mid-month.
The money was delivered by Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa, also Kikuyu MP, during a fundraising event organised to help the traders get back on their feet.

empower Kenyans and implement the Bottom-Up Economic Agenda.

angry with the government and want to go look for another government. I will
not abandon this government," he said.
His said his support for the Kenya Kwanza government will
make it possible for him to implement development projects in the constituency
for the benefit of the constituents.
"We should engage in constructive politics of
empowering Kenyans. Bad politics will ruin the country. If as Kenyans we start
fighting each other because of politicians, then we will be the foolish ones,"
he said.
"Those who are occupying political positions should be
working for the people. Those who are looking for positions in future elections
should go to the people and tell them what they have done for them.”.
The MP said it is Kenyans who will decide who will be voted into office in 2027.
He revealed that Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga
had confirmed that design works for the main Kangangi market in Kiambu town are
being reviewed and that public participation will soon be conducted.

teachers of various primary schools not to send the traders’ children home due
to fee arrears.
The MP said his NGCDF will give them bursaries to keep them
in school as they rebuild their businesses.
Woman representative Ann Muratha said Kenyans have become
politically enlightened and have changed the political landscape in the
country.
"Kenyans are now demanding for what they want delivered. We have put politics aside and are now focusing on development. In 2027, we will bring our score card to you so you can rate us.”
Kiambaa MP John Wanjiku said leaders serving in the Kenya
Kwanza government are there to work for their constituents and will put shun
politics discouraging them from doing their work.
On his part, governor Kimani Wamatangi, who contributed Sh5.4
million, said the county has ensured firefighting equipment is put in place and
sufficient water is available to fight fire break-outs.
"We have strengthened the county fire department to be
