Former Rugby player turned celebrity chef Dennis Ombachi alias The Roaming chef headlined the 2025 edition of a Taste of Thai promotion.
The showcase held on February 22, 2025 was organized by the office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi.
It saw a curious Kenyans who had visited the mall for different activities get a taste of Thailand’s best cuisine including soup varieties.
The famous Tom yum and Tom kha soup were prepared by the Roaming Chef who displayed live cooking demos of Thai cuisine to food enthusiasts.
Draws were also held where lucky winners were awarded various Thai dining and shopping vouchers.
The soup was made out of Thai products available in retail shops locally.
It was held at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi, where some vendors had the opportunity to also showcase their products.
Officials from the Royal Thai embassy were also present, including the Minister Counsellor (Commercial) Natthapong Senanarong and Wannaporn Senanarong of the embassy's Office of Commercial Affairs.
