King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived in the country on Monday and were received by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
On Tuesday, King Alexander and Queen Maxima were treated to a red carpet reception.
They were welcomed by President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto at State House, Nairobi.
On their trip to the State House, the two were escorted by a convoy of black SUVs with tinted windows.
Upon arrival at State House, King Alexander inspected the guard of honour as the flags of Kenya and the Netherlands were hoisted.
King Alexander and Queen Maxima are set to begin their State visit, today, March 18.
The royals who are in the country on an invitation by President Ruto, will stay until Thursday, March 20.
During his State visit, the king wore a navy-striped suit, a fancy golden tie and a pocket square that completed the fit showing class in his fashion sense.
President William Ruto's outfit was illuminated by the violet tie he rocked with his navy suit and some nice black shining leather shoes that you could almost see your reflection on.
On the other hand, Queen Maxima showed her elegance in a flowing, cape-sleeved dress in a muted coral or pink tone, which exuded sophistication.
She accessorized this outfit with a matching wide-brimmed hat, a clutch bag, and stylish pointed-toe high heels.
First Lady Rachel Ruto was dressed in an intricately designed outfit featuring gold and white fabric with a luxurious embroidered pattern.
The dress has a fitted bodice with layered, ruffled sleeves and a matching skirt, likely reflecting cultural or traditional significance.
She completed the look with elegant brown heels and minimal jewellery.
The King and Queen are on a four-day state visit as they plan to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries.
