Kenya Power technicians at work/FILEThe company said in a public notice on Tuesday evening that the outage is aimed at facilitating system maintenance of its grid in the targeted areas.
The utility firm said the interruption will be effected from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
NAIROBI
Areas to be affected by the temporary power outage in Siaya lie within Kiwanja and parts of Kenyatta University.
They include KM, Kiwanja, Rubis, and Ola Petrol Stations along the Northern Bypass, Nyayo Estate, Kenyatta University School of Economics, and adjacent customers.
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 5 pm in the mentioned areas
UASIN GISHU
In Uasin Gishu, areas to be affected are within Huruma Estate.
They include Maranatha, St Jude Huruma Estate and adjacent customers.
In Kakamega, areas to be affected are within the Maji Mazuri and Lugari station.
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 3 pm in the mentioned areas.
NYERI
In Nyeri, areas to be affected are within Kabendera and Belleview
Power will be cut at 8 a.m. and switched back on at 5 p.m. in the mentioned areas.
EMBU
In Embu, areas to be affected are within Ugweri Market and Ngeniari.
They include Nthangaiya Mission, Gikuuri C/Fact, Kianguchu C/Fact, Gikuuri Market, Ugweri Market, Kiringa, Kthambaiconi, Gitinda, Ngarari, Kathugu, and adjacent customers.
Power will be cut at 8:30 am and switched back on at 5 pm in the mentioned areas.
MERU
In Meru, areas to be affected are within the Nkubu, Mikumbune, and Batian.
They include Nkubu Mkt, Mikumbune Mkt, Kamacege Mkt, Mikumbune H/Center, Mikumbune Library, Consolata Hosp, Jekim Hosp, ANkubu High, Nkubu Day Sec Sch, Equity Afya Hosp, Prime Regent Hotel, Riverbank Hotel, Nyagene Sec Sch, Batian Nuts, Kieru C/Fact & adjacent customers.
Power will be cut at 8 am and switched back on at 5 pm in the mentioned areas.
KIAMBU
In Kiambu, areas to be affected are within Juja Town and Kenyatta Road.
They include Theta Hotel, Kalimoni Hospital, Juja Modern Hosp, New Wood Est, Kalimoni Sec, Star of Hope Est, Kwa Woria, Bristar Girls Sch, Theta Hotel, Faith Est, Gate C, St. Peters School, Parts of Gachororo, Juja Police Stn, Elmark Est, Juja Main Stage, Green Field Est, Juja Sewage, Juja South, Kanini Farm Est, Kenyatta Rd, Turraco Village, Superhighway Est & adjacent customers.
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 5 pm in the mentioned areas.
KITUI
In Kitui, areas to be affected are within the Nuu Market.
They include Mwangeni, Kaai Mkt, Imwamba Mkt, Mwambiu Mkt, Musukini Mkt, Masasini Mkt, Kawala Mkt, Kaliku Mkt, Mutito Mkt, Endau Mkt, Malalani Mkt & adjacent customers.
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 5 pm in the mentioned areas.
KILIFI
In Kilifi, areas to be affected are within Kambicha, Adu and Malindi Salt
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 3 pm in the mentioned areas.
KWALE
In Kwale county, areas to be affected are within Mshiu and Lunga Lunga.
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 3 pm in the mentioned areas.
LAMU
In Lamu, areas to be affected are within Mkunumbi and Koreni.
Power will be cut at 9 am and switched back on at 3 pm in the mentioned areas.

Network maintenance and upgrades are usually scheduled outages to allow Kenya Power engineers to perform essential maintenance and upgrades on the power grid to enhance reliability and efficiency.
