Speaking at the launch of Zee Dunia, an Indian show set to bring programmes in Swahili and English, Kisiang'ani said the media is vital for public advocacy and cultural heritage.
He advocated for the broadcasting of local content, saying a country is what it consumes.
He said that content creation is one of economic pillars under the Kenya Kwanza's bottom up social economic, calling on young Kenyans to take advantage of the space to promote the country's traditional heritage.
"The launch of ZeeDunia aligns with the government's agenda to promote young people's persuit for social economic empowerment through sound content creation," Kisiang'ani said.
