Police in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, are investigating the murder of a 32-year-old woman.
She is believed to have been accosted and slain by her ex-husband, who was allegedly aggrieved at her being with another man.
Police said the incident was reported by Saos area Chief Judith Chebon on Monday night.
This is after finding the woman's body sprawled outside her alleged current boyfriend's rented house with deep cuts on the head.
Neighbours who witnessed the scene with utter condemnation noted to have last seen the victim heading to the said boyfriend's house moments past 8 pm, only for her body to be found at 9 pm, soaked in blood at the compound.
Detectives from DCI Koibatek have commenced investigations, and the prime suspect, who has since run into hiding, is being pursued.
This comes even as detectives in Meru are hunting down a man believed to have hacked his wife to death after a domestic argument over a yet-to-be-established issue.
Police said the 45-year-old woman's body was found dumped under a culvert along Therone-Kiuma Murram Road just hours after the couple was seen heading home from the market while engaging in a heated argument.
It is believed that the suspect, who was at the time armed with a panga, turned against his wife in the cover of darkness, inflicting fatal cuts on her neck.
The suspect is still in hiding, with police vowing not to rest until he is brought to justice.
