A horrific road accident along the Nyakach-Katiko road has left four people dead, including three pupils and the matatu conductor.
The incident occurred when a Nissan matatu collided with a stalled sugarcane tractor belonging to one of the sugar factories in the region.

According to Peter Maina, the Nyanza Traffic Police Boss, three pupils sustained serious injuries and are being treated at Nyabondo Mission Hospital.
Six other pupils, who sustained minor injuries, are also receiving medical attention at the same facility.
