Mandera county announces two high-level jobs, sets August 5 deadline

In a public notice published on Monday, July 21, the county advertised the positions of Chairperson and Secretary of the Mandera County Public Service Board—each with one vacancy.

Applications can be submitted via email to [email protected], while physical copies should be delivered to the Mandera County Public Works Hall, located within the Public Works compound in Mandera Town, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Job requirements

Be Kenyan citizens.

Hold a degree from a recognized university in Kenya (a master’s degree or higher is required).

Have at least 10 years of professional experience, including five years in public or private sector management.

Meet the leadership and integrity requirements outlined in Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

Be Kenyan citizens with at least a degree from a recognized Kenyan university. A master’s degree is an added advantage.

Be registered public secretaries in good standing.

Have at least five years of administrative or management experience.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of national and county government objectives.

Satisfy Chapter 6 constitutional requirements on leadership and integrity.

Both roles are full-time, and the successful candidates will serve a single, non-renewable six-year term.
