Ukraine President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has presented his Victory Plan to Ukrainian Members of Parliament and the Ukrainian society.
Zelenskyy presented the plan when he addressed parliament, which is known as the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the Ukrainian President, the Plan will strengthen Ukraine’s positions in the quest for a just end to the war.
He said this will be done by working together with their partners to have the aggressor, Russia, agree to a just peace.
“The Victory Plan is a path to strengthening Ukraine. This is the kind of Ukraine's strengthening that is needed not only to defend our positions but also to build a bridge – a bridge to the second Peace Summit, which will put a fair end to this war for Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said.
He insisted that the plan is easy to implement, because it only depends on their partners and not Russia.
“In two years, nearly 100 countries have supported the Peace Formula. I thank each of them. We held a successful inaugural Peace Summit, proving that this negotiation format can be successful in ending the war. Yet Russia still evades honest diplomacy, throwing bombs and ultimatums. We must put an end to this,” he added.
The Ukrainian Head of State further called for the unity of the People of Ukraine and partners, nothing that this will make their path to victory easy.
“This is guaranteed by our warriors, all of our people, and our unity. The unity of Ukraine and the unity of our partners. All of this forms the foundation of our ability to achieve a just goal,” Zelenskyy said.
He noted that if the partner states moved with speed in their efforts to support Ukraine, the war could end before next year.
He added that supporting Ukraine now will mean preserving a world order based on rules
“If we start moving according to the Victory Plan now, we may be able to end the war no later than next year.
“We all feel the pain of war, and we hear it in names like Pokrovsk, Vovchansk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and also Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea.”
The address was also attended by top Ukrainian military, intelligence and political officials.
The unveiling comes a few weeks after Zelenskyy presented the Victory Plan to US leader Joe Biden and Presidential aspirants Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
He also presented the same to leaders of European countries
that have been supporting Ukraine.
