Crowds are arriving in Washington, DC ahead of Donald Trump being sworn in for his second term as US president just before 12:00 EST (17:00 GMT), 8pm Kenyan time.
The ceremony, traditionally held outside the US Capitol, has been moved indoors due to a forecast of freezing temperatures with a wind chill of -13C (9F).
Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation. Later, he is expected to attend three inaugural balls in the evening.
Ahead of Trump entering office, Joe Biden issues preemptive pardons for several figures "threatened with criminal prosecutions," including Dr Anthony Fauci and officers who testified over the Capitol riot.
In his final rally yesterday, Trump promised to sign a blitz of executive orders on his first day as president.
