  • • Kenyans hate corruption and would certainly vote for any politician who eliminated it

Head of Public Service Felix Koskei has vowed to eradicate corruption in the civil service, saying this is one of the key objectives of President William Ruto.

If this is achieved, Ruto will have no trouble getting re-elected in 2027.

One of the main reasons for the hostility towards the new taxes in the Finance Bill is the popular assumption that these taxes will just be embezzled and will not advance the public good.

Kenya has a powerful economy and many bright well-educated people. But it is hobbled by endemic corruption in the police, judiciary and public service.

Kenya needs the same level playing field so that its own manufacturers and investors can prosper.

Every incoming government has promised to eradicate corruption but nothing seems to change. If Koskei and President Ruto can eliminate corruption , their popularity will know no bounds.
