Recent cases include that of the Wells Fargo manager, a mother, daughter and niece in Eastleigh, the murder of Kirinyaga politician Lucy Njeri’s daughter in Thika.
The killers have spared no one.
Unfortunately, state security agents expected to ensure the security of Kenyans, have more often than not been associated with some of the abductions and killings.
Killer gangs have unfortunately copied their modus operandi and many now have the courage to brazenly kidnap citizens in broad daylight claiming to be police officers.
Whether state agents or rogue individuals do the abductions, this cannot be allowed to continue.
There is a limit to which Kenyan’s can take violence and on many occasions where the state has failed to deal with these, vigilante groups have always emerged to fill the void.
The gangs have more often than not morphed into private armies. Kenyans cannot continue witnessing the killings yet nothing is done.
The killings must be addressed.
