President William Ruto now says that fertilizer in the country will continue retailing at Sh2,500.

While making his address, Ruto said that this cut across, regardless of what purpose the fertiliser will be used for.

He insisted that his administration will make sure the prices are universal because they have seen the impact it has had on food production.

“The fertiliser will continue to retail at 2,500. We will make sure prices of fertilizer are universal because we have seen the impact on food production,” the President said.

Ruto spoke during the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kwale County.

He went on to state that the country has already concluded the process of acquiring the next batch of fertilizer.

“We have concluded the process of procuring the next consignment of fertiliser.”
