President William Ruto has extended his best wishes to the candidates sitting the national KPSEA and KCSE exams.
In his message to form four candidates, the president expressed confidence that the four years of dedication would yield successful results.
President Ruto assured candidates that the government has implemented extensive security measures to guarantee the smooth administration of the exams.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Interior have coordinated efforts to provide invigilators, supervisors, and security personnel at all exam centres.
Mama Rachel Ruto also wished all candidates across the country success even as she emphasized the importance of perseverance and resilience.
In her message, she urged the candidates to trust in their efforts and embrace the process as part of their growth
“May your hard work and dedication lead you to the success you deserve,” said the first lady.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams begin Tuesday while the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams will start Monday.
For this year’s exams, KNEC introduced new security features to curtail cheating.
The new features include preprinted names and index numbers on the exam papers, enhancing the integrity of the examination process
The exams, which mark the culmination of four years of preparation, will run from October 22 to November 22 across 10,565 centres nationwide.
This year's KCSE will see 965,501 candidates across 10,755 centres sit for their exams from October 22 to November 22, 2024.
KPSEA exams will be conducted between October 28 to October 30.
With the heightened security by the exam council, tougher guidelines, and governmental support, this year’s exams are expected to run efficiently, giving all candidates a fair opportunity to perform their best.
