Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups plain (all-purpose)
- 1 cup castor sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 teaspoons baking
- ½ cup whole milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Coat or grease your baking pan with butter and dust with flour to ensure the cake does not stick

In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Combine for 1 minute.

Add all the remaining ingredients to the bowl and combine using a mixer

Ensure the batter is light and creamy before pouring it into the pan.

Bake for 35-45 minutes until when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and cool over a wire rack.

Dust with powdered sugar or coconut before serving.
