Radio personality Sheila Kwamboka has joined Radio Africa group.
The bubbly radio personality, who has entertained Kenyans for years, has accepted a position at the Westlands-based media house.
Radio Africa General Manager Martin Khafafa told Word Is the company will continue to nurture talents.
"Sheila Kwamboka is joining Radio Africa Group, which has a reputation for nurturing reputation, and it is the home of the best media talents in the country over the past 20 years," he said.
Khafafa added that Kwamboka's addition will not only give listeners a chance to enjoy big, better and more engaging radio but also give advertisers a chance to get the product articulated.
"We will get even more well connected to our consumers," he said. Khafafa did not confirm which station Kwamboka will be joining.
"We have several radio stations and that is a matter of the programme controller to decide in the next couple of weeks," he said.
On her Instagram page, Kwambox said she took a break to recharge.
"I know I’ve been quiet. I was recharging. This year, I am ready to give my very best. I’m almost battery full."
Kwambox, as she is popularly known, has become a household name.
She previously worked at Homeboyz Radio, Vybez Radio and now back to Radio Africa Group.
Sheila is also a former Big Brother Africa housemate. Sheila Kwamboka in the past has also talked about one of the most challenging times in her life.
She said her family had to auction all of their belongings as a survival tactic when they could not make ends meet.
Kwambox explained that growing up with such challenges considerably shaped her character and firm belief in positivity.
She was also a part of the team that started K24 alongside outstanding presenters like Smriti Vidyarthi, Jane Ngoiri, Apolo Kamau and Ben Kitili.
She had a brief stint in basketball in the league until she got a knee injury that put her basketball career on a halt.
