Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu, who is a Muslim, has admitted to visiting a pastor last year to pray for her to get a child.
In a recent teaser of 'Cook With Wema Sepetu' show, the actress hosts gospel singer Christian Shusho.
"I went to a pastor who was said to have the ability to help people have kids, and who prayed for me," she tells Shusho.
"I am the same since then. To date, I don't have a child."
Sepetu then asked Shusho, who is also a pastor, to pray for her.
"You will now have to pray for me."
"What do you want prayed for?" Shusho asked.
"I want to have a child."
Late last year, Sepetu revealed that she had undergone a miscarriage. She said she got stressed after arguing with her boyfriend.
"When we argue, it stays between us and we don't like to put it in the open," she said in an interview.
She said she avoids involving people in a lot of what really happens in their lives.
They love to see people see them love each other but keep the problems to themselves.
"Yes, it happened and I really don't like to talk about it because it's something I wouldn't want to see happen again, and I wasn't happy about it. "
"It's a problem I have had. I spoke to my doctors and they said I needed proper bed rest. I shouldn't be stressed.
"I'm hoping that this time when I get pregnant, it is successful."
