Musician Nadia Mukami has said she is not a married woman and is still in the dating scene.
Mukami said though she lives with the father of her child, fellow musician Arrow Bwoy, he has not paid any dowry on her head.
She said Arrow Bwoy is with her on credit.
"I am not married. It is a fact. He is with me on credit. Niko soko," Mukami said.
The musician spoke on Friday during an interview with Kiss FM.
In her opinion, women whose dowry has not been paid should not be fully committed to the men they are currently dating.
"I think in the 21st century we need to tell our men if you have not paid my dowry yet, then one of my legs is still outside while only one is in the relationship," she said.
Mukami said a lady living with a man who has not paid her dowry is just a girlfriend and not a wife.
In March, there had been rumours that the musicians had gone separate ways.
Arrow Bwoy came out to dispel the rumours saying Mukami is still his lover and the mother of his child.
"I have never given a statement and I have never left or been left by anyone. First of all, as far as I know, Nadia is the mother of my child and my lover," he said.
"I have never said we have broken up, and in case such a time comes, we will not even let people know that we have broken up. Nobody starts a relationship with a dream to ever break up."
