Controversial pastor from the New Life Prayer Center church in Mavueni, Kilifi county, Ezekiel Odero has pointed out that expensive rings among others are one of the reasons for the disintegration of many marriages these days.

Ezekiel who was preaching in his church asked a female congregant the price of her ring and compared it with the ring he bought for his wedding to his wife, Sarah.

Ezekiel said that he bought a ring for only 15 Kenyan shillings and his marriage has lasted until today but that she had bought her ring for more than 18 thousand and yet her marriage had floundered.

"You see, I bought my wedding ring for 15 shillings," Ezekiel said. The pastor however said that before wearing the ring, God placed on him a spiritual ring.

"But a spiritual ring was placed on me that has kept my marriage alive until today. And that spiritual ring is expensive, don't let anyone tell you otherwise," Ezekiel said.

He advised people who want to get married to give themselves to God first before entering into marriage, also admitting that his church is the one with the unique anointing to do that.
