Gospel singer Linet Munyali alias Size 8 has opened up on her separation from husband Samuel Muraya alias DJ Mo.

According to Size 8, she remains a firm believer in the institution of marriage.

Speaking on TV 47, the singer said she had gone through all possible options to settle on separation.

She noted that despite this, she still loves her husband DJ Mo.

"I am a firm believer in marriage and it's an institution orchestrated by God the Father. Most of you wondered, you are a minister of the highest God, why would you put it on Instagram that you are trying singlehood?

"First of all before I reached that point, I had gone through all options I could possibly think of and I don't hate Mr Muraya (DJ Mo) at all, I love him dearly. If you cut my heart only Mo will skip out of it. But for me to reach where I requested a separation, it's because I had no other option and I just want to put it out there that the fact that I asked for separation does not mean I don't believe in marriage," Size 8 said.

The singer said that she remains open to reconciliation, should it knock on her door.

She said it was not easy settling on separation but she is not bitter that it got there.

"Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't like right now we are in a bit of a crisis but I am open. If God will bring reconciliation that will be my dream, if God will bring reconstruction in my marriage that will be my dream.

"For me to reach here, it was not an easy decision but I thank God I am not bitter in any way. I'm not ashamed to say I'm still very in love with Muraya but where I am the separation is the best way out."

Size 8 encouraged all not to give up on marriage quickly.

She urged those in marriage to always seek help and whenever all options are on the table and a solution cannot be found one can now seek separation.

She further advised against divorce, insisting that it should be the last resort.

"If you are watching me wherever you are, don't give up on your home very quickly, take time to seek help, and when you seek all options and it refuses, then you can seek for a separation and don't be too fast to go for divorce."
