What you need to know about Dripfest;
First things first: understanding the theme.
Organized by Radio Africa Events, this is an event that showcases and highlights the richness of Urban culture through Fashion, Art, and Music.
With that in mind, stray away from the usual "Western attires", casual jeans that you wear every day, and make sure you have pops of colour in your fit. Also, remember Ankara ain't the only thing African.
There are so many ways of bringing out your traditional touch, head gears and accessories included.
And when I say head gears, I don't mean the usual Maasai/ Samburu beaded gears. Think outside the box! Show up with a layered turban, for the guys to pull out that godfather hat.
Another thing to keep in mind is how bipolar Nairobi's weather currently is. So for shoots boots as well as sneakers would be a good option. On top of that, ensure you have something warm to drape over your outfit in case the night gets chilly
An example of a perfect ensemble would be, a brown leather skirt (paying homage to the Kikuyu community) black knee-high or ankle boots paired with a white crop top then layered with beaded accessories, and a soft brown waterfall coat on top.
Such a chic look.
Make sure you raid your wardrobe and have the best fit for a chance to get featured on Radio Africa's pages alongside peeps with the best drip game.
Drip Fest is a place where you come out with that African-inspired swag to play as we vibe and dance to only the hottest music performed by Mega Stars from around the continent.
