These include garlic, ginger, lemon, and honey.

Honey is a beloved sweetener that people also commonly used as a natural remedy for coughs and congestion.

Drink it while it is still warm, use little honey as a sweetener.

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 cups (709 mL) of water
  • 1/2 cup (118 mL) of lemon juice(squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons (42 grams) of honey

Preparation

Step 1

Chop garlic and let it stand for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Bring water to a boil, then add chopped garlic, reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for 5–10 minutes. You can leave the chopped garlic in the tea or strain it out.

Step 3

Mix in lemon juice and add honey to taste.

You could also add some freshly grated or powdered ginger, depending on your taste preferences.
