Let us look at an easy way to prepare carrot puree for your infant.

Ingredients

  • Two carrots.
  • A cup of water

Preparation

Step 1

Wash your hands with soap and water and wash the carrots properly then peel them.

Step 2

Cut the carrots into small chunks then place them in a clean steamer pan with a small amount of water and steam.

If you don't have a basket, you can steam your carrots on top of boiling water using a clean light sufuria that can steam well.

Step 3

Steam until tender then place the steamed carrot in a clean blender and blend it.

You can also mash using a clean cooking stick in case the blender is not available.

Step 4

Add warm water to the puree if not soft enough and mix it well making sure it's soft enough to feed your baby.

Step 5

Serve the carrot puree in a clean bowl and leave it to cool.

When done, feed your baby while it is at room temperature and let your baby enjoy the carrot puree
