We have different types of course meals including breakfast, which can be simple or elaborate.

The simple breakfast consists of a beverage, a protein dish  and a carbohydrate

An example is milk tea, and boiled eggs served with gazed arrowroot.

An elaborate breakfast is also known as a full breakfast.

It consists of five items;

Examples

  • Orange juice served with roasted groundnuts
  • Millet porridge served with boiled groundnuts
  • Hot coffee

After planning your guests' breakfast you may come up with a three-course meal for lunch which consists of an appetizer, a main meal and a dessert.

An example of a three-course meal is cream of tomato soup appetizer, stewed beef served with boiled carrot rice for the main meal and orange juice for dessert

When coming up with your guests' dinner plans you are advised to go for a one-course meal which consists of the main meal alone.

For the main meal, you can prepare fried chicken served with enriched ugali and boiled spinach.

After a long day, you may decide to prepare a high tea for your guest.

High tea brings a party or an event lively because it makes your guest relax.

High tea consists of a beverage which is advisable to be served hot. It can be served in savoury dishes such as samosa, sandwiches filled with meat or vegetables, meat or vegetable pie, sausage rolls, roasted meat or rissoles.

It's very important to note that before you plan for a course meal for your guest you are advised to make a budget on the quantity of food that will be used.
