Rice dishes are common in Africa. Most people enjoy it with beef, beans, green grams, and stew.

To prepare your spiced rice you need these ingredients.

Ingredients

  • One glass of rice
  • One bulb of onion  
  • One chilli pepper 
  • One teaspoon of cumin seed
  • One teaspoon of mixed spice 
  • Royco mchuzi mix 
  • Water
  • One stalk of coriander 
  • Cooking oil

Preparation 

Step 1

Wash and chop the onion, coriander, and chilli pepper.

Step 2 

Heat enough oil in a sufuria and fry the chopped onion add the chilli pepper once your onions are golden brown.

Step 3 

Add coriander and stir for a few minutes then add cumin seeds, mixed spice, and royco mchuzi mix and stir to mix your mixture.

Step 4 

Wash your rice and it to the mixture then stir.

Step 5 

Add water and bring to a boil lower the heat and cook until soft.

When done serve your spiced rice and enjoy your meal.
