How to enrich your lunch with pan-fried Tilapia

Tilapia is one of the most loved dishes in Kenya because it's easy to prepare.

There are many ways that one can prepare Tilapia.

You can prepare it either stewed, fried or pan-fried.

Here are the ingredients one needs to prepare pan-fried Tilapia.

Ingredients 

  • Two medium tilapia 
  • Half a cup of milk 
  • One lemon 
  • wheat flour 
  •  margarine 
  • Salt 
  • Pepper

Preparation 

Step 1

Wash and dress the fish then dry them on a clean kitchen cloth.

Divide the fish into two halves and remove its bones.

Step 2 

Apply margarine on both sides of the tilapia then season them with salt and pepper, then deep them in milk and squeeze the lemon juice. 

Step 3

Keep the fish for one hour in the marinade.

Step 4

Remove the fish from the marinade and drain it. 

Step 5 

Dredge the flour and fry both sides until golden browned.

Step 6 

When done, garnish your pan-fried tilapia with parsley and lemon wedges. 

Then serve your dish with hot ugali and enjoy your lunch.
