Making homemade oat bread requires simple natural ingredients.

To make your oat bread, you are required to have the following ingredients.

Ingredients 

  • Milk 
  • Rolled oats
  • Butter
  • Honey 
  • Instant yeast
  • Water
  • Whole wheat flour

Processes

Step 1

Add the oat and butter to a clean bowl.

Heat the milk to simmer and pour on top, stirring to combine.

Then set aside for about an hour.

Step 2

Then add honey, warm water, instant yeast, and salt to the bowl and stir well to combine your mixture.

Add the whole wheat flour and mix on medium-low speed until combined.

Add the all-purpose flour a little at a time until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.

Step 3

Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover it with a dish towel.

Allow rising until it doubles in size for about an hour.

Step 4

Punch down the dough and divide it into two. Shape into loaves and place in two lightly greased loaf pans.

Make the egg wash and gently brush some over the top of each loaf.

Sprinkle a small handful of dry oats on top.

Step 5

Then place in an oven and bake for thirty to forty minutes until golden brown.

When done, remove it and let it cool.

Then serve it on a plate and enjoy it with any beverage of your choice.
