Three updates to Polls Whatsapp users should expect

WhatsApp has announced a new update to Polls which aims to help groups gather information, be productive and make decisions collectively.

The updates will allow users to create single votes polls, forward them with captions and document captions.

Users will be able to create single-vote polls for accurate answers.

Here is how users can create a poll;

1. Select a chat.

2. Click on the attachment icon for androids and the plus icon for IOS.

3. Select “Polls” 

4. Curate the question and add options.

Poll creators can turn off “Allow multiple answers” for single votes.

WhatsApp will also allow its users to filter messages by polls similarly to how users can filter for photos, videos or links.

Here is how to filter polls:

1. Open your WhatsApp.

2. Click on the “chats” screen.

3. Press “Search” 

4. Click on “Polls” to find a list of results.

WhatsApp has noted that users will be able to receive notifications when people vote on their polls and be up to date.

The cross-platform has enabled its users to add captions to documents with before sharing them with friends.

Users can find a list of all the results by searching on the “Chats” screen
